Case Summaries

We were able to help a young man working in a factory that made iron railroad parts. He worked on a shot-blast machine that shot metal ball bearings at rough iron parts to smooth the edges. When a part became stuck, he tried to kick it loose, and the machine grabbed his leg and pulled it in. He ended up losing his lower leg in the accident. We were able to help him with a settlement to replace his prosthetic limb over time and make modifications to his home so he could more easily get around.
We handled a wrongful death claim for a family whose husband and father fell into a horizontal feed mixer on a hog farm. Though nothing will ever make up the loss of the family, we were able to help them begin the healing process with the settlement.
We represented a young man who worked on a coal crusher. While he was changing out the cutting blades using a hoist, the load shifted and amputated several of his fingers. The resolution in his case helped him to get back on his feet and back to work in a new position.
We helped another young man who was in a bucket truck cutting tree limbs.
